Hi Peter, I know you like Florida for your annual vacation but why not make a trip a little further west to California someday. I hear there are quite a few Pagodas out here :)

Saw a medium blue 280SL at Madden & Ryan, Radnor PA getting a new fuel pump etc.  Story is that the owners husband bought it new; after his passing some time ago, she has kept it because her kids like to drive dad's car when they visit.  Inspection sticker shows 12 miles driven in the last year!  Wonder why the fuel pump went?  Jon

John

A few weeks ago we drove from San Francisco to Yosemite, Yosemite to Carmel, Carmel to Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara to LA. We saw as many bears as pagodas (that would be none of either). The sun was shining - where were you all? What a lovely place to live even if it is a pagoda free zone.

Best regards
Andrew

We were in Germany in September taking part in the MBCA Fall Germany Tour followed by a Viking river cruise and hoped to see a few Pagodas during our travels.  Of course we saw the gold/blue one at the DB Museum, and a white one on display in the classics for sale area adjacent to the restaurant and souvenir shop.  There was also a nice black one in the lobby of the Classic Center and a silver one on display and available for rent by members of the Legenden Club Sindelfingen.  We finally briefly spotted a signal red one in the wild while looking down from the parapets of Nürnburg Castle as it was disappearing around the corner in the street below.  However we spotted something even more rare than a Pagoda on the road while on a tour bus returning to our ship near Krems, Austria:  A gorgeous anthracite 300SL roadster, top down, two up, scooting through a roundabout that our bus was approaching.  We followed it onto the autobahn until it departed after a couple of exits.
