Another excellent European trip to add to memory lane  :)

Always great to see the familiar faces of our Pagoda friends and great to see some new ones also.

Once again organisers,  thanks for putting together everything so perfectly.

I will try to add some pics shortly and will hopefully see a few of you in the US next August or Sept.

During our tour of the Innsbruck panorama I noticed a sign talking about the development of the Panorama and a London connection. Co-incidentally….

Watching my favourite quiz last night the issue of a panorama came up and it turns out there is sort of one hiding in plain sight. Building was built about 1800 to house a double storey panorama(s) and lasted about 50 years as an attraction. Moments off Leicester Square in the middle of London

The building is now a church but it’s pretty obvious what it is/ was. But only from above can you see the rotunda (the green is Leicester Square. The red strips across Lisle St are “Chinese” lanterns” that decorate Chinatown

Dear attendees and Euro Event Enthusiasts,

The last payments and details are wrapped up. I've send you all a PM with the details , should you have questions please mail us.

Despite the Corona epidemic with all its reservations and restrictions i think we accomplished a good and enjoyable Pagoda Euro Event.
For me personal it was my last time co-organizing , time has come to give it back to its founder  :) But we will always participate !

Thanks Paul for co-organizing the Belgium and France editions . Thanks Peter and Johannes for the Italy Edition .
And again a special thanks to Peter March for his effort and help with the Austria Edition.

It was great fun , thank you all for joining and participating we will see you all in future events.

Stay healthy ,

2020/2021 Pagoda Euro Event organizers signing off

Greetings ,

Peter March and Rick bond

Thank you James ...how thoughtfull of you  :)

but seriously there are no plans for 2022 , because our US friends have their big event.
Then in 2023 our Pagodas have their 60th anniversary , and there suppose to be some plans to celebrate that, i don't know.

So then we are in 2024 for another Euro event, and I'm sure there will be announcements for that early on.
So plenty of time to get your cars ready for those narrow and winding roads.

happy holydays to all , and please stay healthy.

Well
I finally made it home! Managed to get the car out of winter hibernation in Switzerland. I took the train down yesterday.

I connected the battery on arrival  and it started first time. Checked the tyre pressures and rolled out at 4am

Three hours to near Dijon with a fab drive across the Jura before the traffic picked up
Then 5 hours at ~4250rpm (may have exceeded the speed limit on occasion - indeed I did get flashed in the Jura  :( ) and listened to some great podcasts which made the trip whizz by.

11 hours /610 miles door to door including the Chunnel (time) and arrived home in London to a lovely surprise from the Group. Thank You

Ha! No, been busy and only recently sold the Boxster to free up garage space for the Pagoda. Not garaged overnight means it’s not insured (when at or near home)
