Tires

I’m a new 280 SL owner.
Did all 280sl come with white wall tires? What is the width of the white wall?

The pagodas came with white walls and standard. Your car will have the info of what tires it came with from the factory on your data card.

You can buy 4 hankook white walls tires for a decent price ($280 installed). The whitewall on those are 20mm.

I believe original whitewalls were a little thicker.

There are more expensive whites out there.   It just depends what your wallet can handle and what you are trying to accomplish. Do a search. Lots of info.

I would have thought the US ones came with white walls, the Euro did not (e.g. those with Continentals)...
