I believe the color of all sunvisors  intended to match with the headliner and all horn pads would match the steering wheel (Ivory or Black vinyl). When I purchased my 230SL the horn pad was brown, like the interior. I removed it only to find it had been ivory initially but the exposed areas had darkened to brown over the years. To me, there is nothing as "clean" looking as an ivory wheel and horn pad.  Of course, many choose to take liberties with material and color due to personal preference.  As a for instance, I opted for loop carpet as opposed to square weave for my car when I did the interior.
