Peter H;
we have not talked in a long time.
But the question arises, where is the button to place it in English.

Hi Tom,

Once you open the German site (link posted by Peter) you find the Botton for English (En) in the upper right hand corner of the site.

To make it easy find the English page here;

Enjoy

Did I see that right - a brushed stainless steel hardtop on that Pagoda?

Here you go Peter ... as best as I can manage the translation with some help from Google ...

The stainless steel hardtop presented here was manufactured by Daimler Benz AG in the 60s for trial / testing for the Series 113 (pagoda SL). There were originally two stainless steel hardtops in two different versions, one of which was scrapped at the end of the trials by Daimler Benz AG. The other hardtop could be saved by a development worker prior to the also planned scrapping. This employee acquired the hardtop 1979 for private purposes and kept it in his garage. In early 2007, he offered the hardtop for sale to the Mercedes Benz Club Pagoda, who did not miss this unique offer.

The stainless steel hardtop is in a restored original state and is deliberately pale with existing patination. It was first presented publicly at the Retro Classic in Stuttgart (09, - 11.03.2007).

In terms of shape and equipment, it corresponds to the conventional hardtop delineated from normal deep-drawn sheet metal, since it was produced using the original pressing tool. However, by sending the stainless steel, it has naturally the great property to be rust-free.

When they refer to ...

original pressing tool

they don't mean the attached image hehehehe :)

Edit; corrected typo/
