280SL 6.3 Litre Pagoda
« on: May 15, 2012, 07:34:31 »
Hi all,

I was going through one of my SL books (Mercedes-Benz SL Sports Cars by Laurence Meredith) and remembered the section on the Nick Kisch 6.3 litre conversion of a Pagoda.

There is also a photo of a 280SL as a factory conversion with a 6.3 litre engine (registration S-VN 592) so I did a bit of digging and found this site:

http://www.auto-kromm.de/pagode/album/index.html

I figure this conversion has nothing to do with either of the above, but an interesting and what appears to be a very well done conversion including the air suspension.

Although I have to say I am more than happy with the standard engine in my car...

Do you think that one day we might have to change the engines in our cars just so we can use them??

That electric Pagoda did not look very practical.

Regards to all

Paul

P.S. Sorry if this has been posted before, I could not find anything about it on a search.
