I have just installed a new soft top on my 1971 280SL. I have yet to route the two side cables and glue the side rubber weather strips. Do I make two small incisions, one in the front and the other one in the rear, in the underside of the soft top hem and thread the cable through them? And then, glue the side rubber weather strip to the underside of the hem with contanct cement? Am I doing it right? Any suggestion?
