Sadly I can't make it in September Peter, maybe next time.  I'll hope you all have a nice time overthere.
Make pictures for the forum please so we can see what we've missed.

Gerster,

Nice! I'm still worried to drive around as it hasn't rained much since the last spray of salt for snowy roads here in Hilversum... I'll wait till it's rained, and then dried up again before I get mine out...

But my car has been in hiding since november... that's over 5 months now, I don't usually leave it that long.

My Pagode went to v.Dijk today to fix some problems. Hope to get it back soon!
At that moment there were 3 Pagodas overthere for maintenance, a 190SL and a beautiful gullwing for restoration.

My car will go to van Dijk saturday for some technical problems, the powersteering is leaking oil and the cooling system is not good, car is getting hot in slow traffic.
Hope they can fix it for a reasonable price!

Greetings: Ger.

Hi,

I have been looking at a Pagoda that has been resprayed. The car is in Zimbabwe. I think the 050 G refers to the colour. Its a 1970. Can you let me know what the codes mean on the attached photograph?

Its been resprayed as per picture. I would like to revert it back to its original colours. Seats are dark blue.

Brian, Welcome to the forum.  The 050 G means original body colour is white.  The “G” is for Glasurit, the paint supplier.  The 040 G means the original top was black, also Glasurit.  As for the first line of codes on the paint plate, 426 is for automatic transmission and power steering.  491 is for US version, 503 is for left hand outside mirror and 515 is for Becker AM/FM radio, US version.

All this information is in the Technical Manual, third tab from the left above.  I suggest you become familiar with the Technical Manual which contains a world of information. There are some restricted sections which you can access by becoming a full member, a bargain at USD30.00.

Did you purchase the car or are you just looking?  Keep us posted and again welcome to the forum.
