Sealants & Fitting Preparations
«
on:

Do any of these fittings require any special compound or prep to ensure a leakproof seal:
1) High pressure steering hose flare fitting?
2) Oil cooler hose?
Also, what is the preparation for the front crankcase seal prior to insertion?
Thanks

Do the front pan bolts need to be loosened to insert the seal? If so, do you just cross your fingers that you don't create a leak?
