Motor Trend Classic picks up SL113.org
« on: September 24, 2006, 01:13:56 »
This relatively new, bi-monthly US magazine in its September/October issue references our site in the column 'Digital Classics - check out these cool web sites'. Every issue, about 5 sites are mentioned. Wonder how they found out about us  ;)

The full text (see snapshot below) is "Good site for owners and enstusiasts of the 1960s Mercedes-Benz 230, 250, and 280SL "Pagoda" roadsters, which are enjoying renewed popularity".

In case you're interested in this magazine, which I think is very high quality, check out www.motortrendclassic.com. It contains a nice mix of American as well as other (mostly European) classics, has superb photography and in-depth and thoughtful articles. The current issue has articles on the Saab Sonnett, the BMW Z1 roadster (never originally imported into the US), a 'barnfind' Maserati A6G 2000 Zagato Coupe, and on the quintessential Mustang, the 1968 Fastback from the 'Bullitt' movie featuring Steve McQueen.

I've been a subscriber to Motor Trend Classic since the first issue came out just over a year ago. Highly recommend it.

Cees:

Congratulations to you and the others who have worked so hard to make this site a success.  Recognition may come slowly, but it will come.
