Tachometer 68 250SL

What kind of seal or washer is at the tach cable where it connects to the block?

I put a small o-ring in there. Maybe, I should elaborate: I'm talking where the sleeve of the sheath goes over the fitting which is installed in the block.

4Bud, are you asking because you see some oil at this location? Reason I ask is it is fairly common. If so, you will want to search here for tach seal or tach bushing.

If its just the seal worn out, they are available from our trusty suppliers here for around 10 bucks. Kind of challenging to get old one out (see archives). It may also behove you to check the tach bushing itself (again lots in the archives on this).
