Has anyone had problems with these as I have just bought a pair. The right one fits poorly and the left one is so bad that I have damaged it trying to get it to fit!

I did not had such a bad experience.

It is with most new (Mercedes Benz) body parts, the fit is usually not 100% also because the car itself is 50 of more years old.

And now you can't return it because it's damaged.
