Some good news and some not so good news: garage door is now strong enough so that I can open and close it. I inspected the Mercedes somewhat and found the mufflers pushed forward about 2 inches. It is an aftermarket stainless assembly and the good thing is that I applied High Temperature Permatex when I did the exhaust years ago. I could move the mufflers aft using a lead slug carefully. Bought new rubber donuts, they were all sheared off. I wonder if the exhaust manifolds were damaged. Hard to see. Good thing that I can use the garage again because my 30 year old truck decided to drag the brakes on, I hope, one wheel. From standing outside in the cold. Should have used it more often. I guess I'll find corrosion. But I could use it to get all the lumber I needed to fix the door.  Looked at new garage doors. The sectional ones appear to seal better and are insulated.

Yesterday  I got a new garage  door !  No more access  for  rodents  and I can work where it is warm. Now I can repair the Prius. After that the Mercedes. It is real nice  to have a tight garage door
