"Bottoming out" and curb/gutter ramp

Does anyone have experience solving the problem of "bottoming out" when going over a  curb with rounded edges ( i.e. not right angle curb)?
Has anyone used the "Brij-It" rubber curb "ramp"? Other solutions? Custom steel ramp?
