I recent bought it and found it quite complete. Covers all aspects of the car, starting with its immediate predecessors, and ending with a short chapter on the R107 and some information on restoration. Lots of good photos, including some I hadn't seen before. Profiles the major figures in the car's development, and the writing is clean and easy to read.

I too have the book, from what I read so far it is worth having in ones Pagoda library. It provides detrails of the SL birth, individual chapters of the 230, 250 and 280 includes the successor. restorations, the timeless style as well as going forward. Well worth the money spend I say.

I don't feel "qualified" to critique this book since it's really my first such book and many of you have libraries and shrines dedicated to our addiction.   But I've been diligently doing my homework and reading it and savoring it a couple of pages a weekend.  I brought it with me to California.


Thoughts from someone who does not have the other Pagoda books: Nicely written, very nice photos that I have not seen before and hard to put down.  Detailed history.  Is it accurate?  I just don't know.   Did see one of our members in there.
