230 rear exhaust manifold

Hello,

Bad luck, the rear exhaust manifold of my 230 SL (1966) has broken (see pic).

The part is still available at my MB dealer at a foolish price  .

Browsing the internet for a secondhand part learns me that there are few rear manifolds on offer, most of them are the front part.

There is however one offer that interests me but it is described as a “MERCEDES M127 M129 M130 Exhaust Manifold W108 W109 W111 W113 W114 W115”. When I contact the seller he claims that it would fit a 1966 230SL   (engine nr 127981-12-004430   -  VIN 11304212-12-016408).

Can anyone advice me whether that part would fit to my 230SL or do you have better solutions/propositions ,

Hi, Erik,

You have the later cast iron manifolds, so the rear one from the later engines would fit.

The casting # on the manifold shud be 129 142 0202
