I am trying to center the ignition lock in the hole in the dash but am flummoxed.
As shown in the photo there are two hex bolts (2) that attach the steering spindle (4) and column jacket (3) to the cross member.  I have loosened them hoping that this would allow me to move the spindle and column to the right but no luck, the position seems to be fixed.
Moving only the locking bolt (9) to the right is prevented by the locking pin (7).
However, since the lock was centered before it went to the paint shop there must be a way to do this.
What is the trick?? I hope someone can help.
