GAHH apparently have two types of black leather available, 241 Black and 1058 "Roser" Black. What is the difference, and which is the best choice in terms of originality, overall appearance and durability between "Roser" and regular?

Steve.

I am not an expert. But I will tell you that Roser which was the factory leather used by Mercedes-Benz is not the same texture it was when the cars were new.  I think they sold out to Connley leather . I could be wrong, however from what I have seen in restored Pagodas and W111s it looks way different than I remember.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the information. I've decided to go with the standard leather and carpet set from GAHH as I understand their quality is one of the best.

I would call GAHH and ask them to clarify. They're very friendly folks.

I would be curious to learn what GAHH says.  The way that it was once explained to me was that the Roser was not "true black".  In certain lights it can appear to have some color in it such as dark brown.  In other lights it can appear to be dark blue.
