Just a reminder that the fit of a grill surround is not universal. Many "re-chromed" grill surrounds, particularly with cars that have had some body work done, just do not fit properly. Maybe "good enough" but the only way to tell is to fit the surround to your car's nose and see for yourself.
I went on a long go around with this 25 years ago when restoring my car. There was a guy selling re-chromed grill surrounds out of SoCal, and he was buying them wherever including junk yards, and having them repaired and rechromed. I had two of them sent to me that looked PERFECT but simply didn't fit.
Finally he sent one that had not been re-chromed but just used; it fit perfectly. Then had to go through the re-chroming process myself.
