I've used both the "official" Mercedes glue (https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/000989927109.htm?pn=000-989-92-71-09-MBZ&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22208005429&gbraid=0AAAAAD_tz52sUsBeWbFCIe3Sam2vXV_8q&gclid=CjwKCAjwy7HEBhBJEiwA5hQNopnoPPQcTzQyLvCi4NFflMDkgogzie1CNMncjw-XRyYlFCOjrpeVZBoCV-kQAvD_BwE) as well as traditional 3M weatherstrip glue (https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40069430/). Haven't found a big difference between them. It's really important to follow directions (ie, apply to both sides and really wait until it's tacky). Rushing it results in a poor bond.
