Wiper problem
« on: March 27, 2025, 14:16:33 »

A few weeks ago, I had something strange happen with my wipers. While driving in the rain, I heard a brief whining noise, followed by a hesitation in the wiper's movement. They resumed functioning normally, and everything seemed fine at the time. However, when I got home and turned the wipers off, I realised they came to rest in the fully upright position instead of their usual park position.

It seems like something odd has happened with the mechanism. Does anyone have any insights on what might be causing this?

Thanks
Kay

right below the dashboard is the adjustment between engine and windshield wiper system. it has shifted and needs to be readjusted. In the picture you can see the connection, the windshield wiper system has not yet been installed.

Take note of the safety advice about disconnecting the battery before working on the wiper mechanism!

Thank you gents, for the insight! That makes sense, and is less complex a fix than what i had envisioned– Appreciate the help.
