Is anyone restoring old data plates these days?
« on: April 26, 2025, 17:54:21 »
I've found some threads and contacts from many years ago, but is anyone out there offering this service right now, or else offering an authentic substitution? This is for the plate on the firewall.

Jackson, just to make sure, you are talking about the VIN plate in the firewall padding cutout?

Jackson: I found this on ebay. These are blanks. Don't know if the seller would provide finishing them. I have a source in Switzerland who does motorcycle VIN plates, finishe with the data. I can check if he does others.

Hey Mike, many thanks for the source. I did PM Sead and it appears there is a fellow (whose contact I did see listed in an old thread on the forum) who is making and engraving the VIN plates rather inexpensively, so he and I worked a deal this morning. Will report on results!
