Lost one of the retaining clips that sit at the end of the pull bar connecting door release handle to the lock. It prevents the bar from popping out.

Was quoted silly money so was wondering if folk knew of small business maybe making their own?

Hello Katie, i'm not sure what you've been quoted, i can't find the clip for sale on its own, but they are available still fitted to the push/pull rods, you could ask these if they have the clips separately.  They were used on several different cars of the era

What about the small clip that i believe is fitted to one end of the rod, would that fit, these are available from the usual suppliers

I don’t really want to but a new rod, also I think early pagodas are slightly different?

These clips are definitely used on the lock release or door opening rods, perhaps they're used on later models, but they do exactly the same thing as your clip, might be worth trying one, especially if you can get one from the UK

Yes, Bob is right. My recommendation is to use the latter clip, the A100 994 0160, that is the one Bob shows,
which is available from the MB dealer; the earlier one you show (A180 723 0055) is obviously no longer.

Amazing to see how some "pennies" articles increased in prices over the years....; a clear indication that these are shortly before NLA. 


My 2 cents, go with the clip Bob shows, it does the same function, I worked with both in the past, and they work well.
