230 SL battery in the UK
« on: November 29, 2012, 07:47:26 »
anyone got any ideas where i get a new one and what it is. the car didnt come with one or rather we left it on the garage floor.....doh!
anyone got a part number or a tip what to buy or not to buy and where from.
i might lean toward reliable rather than nostalgia but if similar i would nostalgia all day long
searching here is not sometimes easy when you need UK advice but i did try.

Russel,

I bought a Mercedes battery yesterday for my Pagoda, part nos was 000982 3008 . The cost was £90 minus 10%  Mercedes Benz club discount.

Not cheap or nostalgic but they look nice under the hood, come with a 3 year warranty and show you value your Pagoda!

Russel,

Space and access is limited so be careful if offered some cheaper "equivalents" it could be a real pain to install !

Mine has a Bosch "silver"  S4005,  fitted, it came with the car when I bought it in June.

Keep well

I rarely make commercial statements on here but I can offer members here a 20% discount on genuine Mercedes batteries.
