Hi all,

I finally found the time to replace the water pump on my '71 280SL. This was quite an exercise because I wanted to remove the A/C system at the same time, as it does not suit the sporty orientation I want to give to that car. This involved replacing the alternator bracket, but also the crank harmonic balancer and the water pump pulley to delete the two additional belt groves needed to drive the A/C compressor.

As a result, I have an original Frigiking W113 A/C system [Deleted by Moderator]

How much is a Frigiking system worth?  [Edited by Moderator]

Thanks!

It also came to my mind that front suspension springs (and may be sway bar?) are specific for the A/C equipped cars. I would be willing to exchage them for non A/C ones with any potential buyer, to make the kit really complete.

I just bought a nearly complete system in the same condition for $900 so I would guess somewhere between $1000 and $1200USD.

Thanks Shvegel.

Following input on value, this system is now listed for sale in the dedicated "for sale" section, here: http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=14497.0

Thanks!
