At lunch time I was listening to Debussy's  "Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune" on the radio when - for whatever reasons - I realized that I needed to wake up my car and take it around for a leasurely afternoon ride around the neighborhood. Here are some impressions.

Alfred, your car looks really good. As does the Southern California backdrop. Any for sale signs in the neighborhood?  :)

Thanks, I do appreciate all the replies.
When I wrote 'neighborhood' I meant a half-circle with a 25 mile radius. For a full circle I'd have to convert the car into an amphibious vehicle.  ;)
And yes, James, plenty of homes available down here.
Here are four more shots. It was an amazing day, followed at night by snow in the mountains down to 3000 feet (~900m) elevation.

Hi Alfred,

Very nice photos, the car looks beautiful against the backdrop.   These were taken on Friday weren't they?  It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Enjoy retirement, I spent the whole day on the 5 back and forth from San Diego to LA.

Hope you are well

Chris

Okay, I'm not sure what I'm most jealous of......driving your Pagoda (mine is about 2 months away from coming back home), Beautiful back drops to take pics of your Pagoda, or, all the sunshine (I'm in Oregon where we just finished the wettest March on record and now are in "April Showers."

Great pics, Thanks for sharing!

Please tell me i didn't miss a car show in Corona Del Mar? I was in Laguna for April and went to 'Cars and Coffee' in Irvine one saturday, took some pics of a couple of Pagodas. Members here? How lucky you SoCal members are to have a car show every Saturday of this quality- Some great cars there.

Alfred did you use any filters or manipulate them to get those contrasting colors? Nice effect!

Hello Paul,
the camera I used is a Canon G3 PowerShot and I had set "color effect" to "vivid" which enhances them a bit more. I imported the photos into iPhoto, cropped them and then exported them again in the desired size for posting. No external filters were used, but it was really a remarkable day with no smog and even very little haze over the Pacific.
Now we are going into "May gray" and "June gloom" when the weather turns foggy and overcast along the coast almost every day.  I'll try to get a few pix demonstrating this also.

Alfred,
I am sure that even the day the car was bought it already had some milage on the counter. So now with plenty of zeros on the counter your Pagoda is starting her second  life: Long life to Pagoda (and Alfred ;))!!!

Hello Alfred and John

it snowed also at the mosel river. Salt and no Pagoda driving. Can't wait for the spring.
