Engine & Trans Weight
« on: November 06, 2007, 12:11:43 »
Does anyone know what the collective weight of both the engine & trans is?  I heard at one time 700 lbs (but is that both pieces?)

Thanks,
Bob

Bob,
I had posted weights some time back,  the saerch tool is not working for me now.

the tranny is not that heavy, I think less than 100 lbs,  the motor
was more like 400 lbs.

do a search, you may be able to find the post.

bob
found my previous post for the motor weight

The longblock assembly we supply is right about 380 lbs.

When you add the externals (manifolds, fuel injection, starter, engine management etc.) it totals more like 550 lbs.
