There are a couple of folks offering bumpers for the 113 cars on ebay. I am also interested to see/hear if any one has had any experience with them.

I have been contemplating these bumpers also. Next time I am in L.A. I'll go by and look at them. Let you know.

I am skeptical that they can produce good chrome for this kind of money. I am looking for a plater in L.A. that will plate close to original on my bumpers and elsewhere on the car.

Also, I am curious about the Ebay  aftermarket bumpers from Germany. They may be better quality. You can't beat the original chrome.

For what its worth John (Upside2k), I had my front bumper (3 pieces) rechromed right there in SB. A shop near Anacapa and Guttierez I think. Was about 400 (that was 1998). Good as new.

I just bought a set on ebay, $about $600 shipped. They look great!
Seller's ebay name is:    importbaron

I am very concerned about after market bumpers. These cheap prices say stay away unless you are selling the car. The ebay add with the stainless steel bumpers are polished but not chromed. I like the look and I think it is a quality set front and rear, however I contacted the company and they can not send me a bumper to exsamine? not returns.
Does any one have any experience with this company. I want to buy once andget as close to Factory as possible, no need to through money away on cheap repros.

As the result of a "could have been worse" accident, I need new front bumpers and possibly bumper guards (don't know if I will re-install the bumper guards). Does anyone have experience with the stainless steel from Harrington (England)? How about the ones fom Importbaron mentioned in the previous post?

Performance Products now sells aftermarket chrome plated pagoda bumpers. Anyone have any experience with these?

I bought a set from Harrington in the UK. They are stainless steel--actually made in Vietnam.

They are jewel-like in appearance. I would recommend them to anyone.

Thanks for the information Joe. Was there any fit problems? How about the guage of the material, comparable to MB bumpers?

Hi--

I haven't put a micrometer to them, but it seems the gauge of the metal is similar to the OEMs.

I haven't fitted them yet, as my car is slowly going together, but they look perfect.  They are even painted light ivory on the inside just as the stock bumpers are.

Last question. Are they as shiny as the chrome plated? In my opinion the Mercedes plating on our Pagodas is without equal.
