Today, I spotted a White grey, light ivory or possibly papyrus white Pagoda driving southbound on Highway 1 between Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo (Calif) in the rain.  Althought it had it's hard top on, I was surprised to see it out in the light rainstorm, especially since I seldom see any pagodas  out and around on warm sunny days in this part of the state.

Not sure if this counts or not, but my daughter saw this nice 280SL parked along the road over in St. Helena (Napa Valley) today. Any member recognize their car?

Out in Sag Harbor and North Haven on Long Island today- one was a 250sl parking near bagel buoys,  the other driving up towards the shelter island ferry-

many other fabulous cars to be seen as well a stunning silver 190, ac cobra, sls in matte grey with painted wheels, that new ferrari "?shooting brake" and several astons-  i must say they have a great exhaust note

Couple weeks ago when I got towed home by the Automobile Association here in Vancouver BC, Canada,  the driver said that he had just towed a beautiful silver Pagoda out of West Vancouver for an apparent fuel delivery problem.  The driver had no problem saying how much nicer the silver car was as compared to mine so it must have been wonderful.   Anyone on the list?

The driver was pretty cool - he said that he could tell how close he was getting to my car with his boom just by watching the expression on my face.

Two this past weekend...an ivory (like mine) car at the Mobil station on Shelter Island in NY....claims to be the oldest Mobil in the U.S....and a blue car with a license plate reading "REBAIT" near the Connecticut shoreline. Both tops down as the weather in the Northeast was spectacular.

On a beautiful late spring day here on Cape Cod I saw a 280 SL in South Yarmouth, driving north on Station Ave. heading to Route 6.
It was light blue with the hardtop on and with whitewall tires. It looked and sounded good.
It had a license plate of LEAH.
Anybody know this car and owner?

I saw one in Georgetown, DC three days ago. It had the top down but had a car cover over the whole thing so I couldn't tell you the color.

Passed what looked like a light blue 280 this Sunday morning. We were headed opposite directions along the lagoon near DelMar CA and shared a wave. I was in my euro; was it anyone here?

Beautiful warm Sat'day we drove into the gorgeous Montafon on the way to the amazing switchbacks of the Silvretta.  Ahead of us a warm-silver topless 280 blue leather turned up towards Bartolomaeberg, probably to wind up its fun road to the Baroque church.  On the way down from the Silvretta today we met an opposing (and imposing) array of oldsters, including 4 Pagodas of all colours, including a silver/red 280, an etype or two, and several other lovely examples.  Prolly getting ready for the Classic next week...  unfortunately we encountered weather down the valley that will ruin their Sunday up there.  They should have come a day earlier.

Oh, and the one I DON'T want to see...the early-VIN perfectly original ivory 230 belonging to our friend Lutz.  His garage-boy decided to back his ricecooker into the garage, smashing into the rear of Lutz's Pagoda, destroying his all-red rear lights, crumpling one fender, demolishing one back bumper, body damage, etc.  YOU'RE FIRED!!!

We were up in Seattle this past weekend for our son's wedding and spotted a Pagoda traveling east on NE 85 St. just east of the 405 freeway in Kirkland around 1:00pm. A few sprinkles in the area but the owners were enjoying a topdown drive.

My daughter is on a roll. She spotted this 280SL up in Nevada City tonight. Perhaps it belongs to Dick M?

Actually John, it belongs to that lady behind it with a flowery shirt! Her name is Kathy, a merchant and active member of the Nevada City crowd. Very nice and her car is a nice 250SL. 4-speed that once was an automatic... Ironically, I used to spot that very car 20 some years ago tootling around Santa Barbara when my car and I lived down there. I hope your daughter enjoyed her visit.

Hey 49er. I can't say for sure whether Kathy has ever signed up -- I know she knows about us. Dick, she, and I have gathered for drives and lunch. I have spoken to her husband about the site as well. Nice folks.

On the Chandler Highway (Melbourne Victoria Australia) on Sunday early evening.  I was in my light ivory 230SL waiting in traffic (there was a random breath and drug test bus up ahead) with the roof off enjoying a quick blast down the freeway and around the Boulevard.  My son spotted another light ivory ???SL heading the other direction with the hardtop on.  I’ve never seen it before.  Anyway we enjoyed our quick blast driving around the Boulvard with the city lights in the distance and even though it was chilly there is sufficient heat from the heater to keep warm.

Half an hour ago, rolled onto the Harwich/Hook of Holland ferry and another 280SL parked up next to me. And if that isn't amazing enough, we're both driving to 's-Hertogenbosch when we dock to pick up the auto slaap train to Livorno and then driving through Tuscany. Rubber duck! I feel a bit if a pagoda convoy coming on.
