w110 parts interchangeable

hello

i have an opportunity to get a 1965 w110 parts car for free essentially. Is this an opportunity to scavenge parts for my 65 230SL, or are not many parts interchangable?

Didn't Pete Lesler make a parts interchangeability list some 30 years ago?  Im not sure how complete it was, or which models were considered.

Lots of things are interchangeable between models built within the same time frame.  108, 109, 110, 111, 112, and 113 have some commonly used parts. Brakes, suspension, transmissions,  engine parts, steering wheels, door parts, gages, fuel pumps, and some interior parts. Not all parts fit all of these models but some pieces do.  A 300SE shares very little with a 113 but a 111 coupe has much in common with a 112 coupe.

Even a 114 has a few parts in common with a 113 but it shares more things with a 107.

Rear end, steering boxes, interior window cranks, exterior door handles in front, wiper motor, dash knobs, radios sometimes, etc.

I am a Kiwi living in the USA who formerly owned a 1965 230SL with the special registration I obtained for the car LL1965. When I sold the car many years ago it went to ChCh. Just wondering if it might be yours. If so there is an interesting history to the car which I would be happy to share off line.
