The coco mats at 5:58 are identical to the ones that were originally sold with my car and are reflected on my car's build sheet. They were also in tatters, but I can more clearly see the pattern and style in this car.

Very interesting aluminum(?) fan at 9:10, compared to my plastic or whatever it is fan on my "'64" (build date was Feb. '65).

I have the aluminum alloy type of fan on my German spec 1970 280SL.

Maybe MB installed whatever they had that day in the parts bin? My German spec 280SL built in November 1970 has a plastic fan.

I too can vouch for MB fitting whatever they had available, given my late 66 230 has a long stroke crank and 250 rods fitted to it.
