turn signals

Our 280's turn signals have started to act up. They work left and right for 3 or 4 blinks and then stop. I checked the bulbs with an ohm meter all are good. Any ideas? Where is the turn signal relay located in the car?

The relay is located under the drivers side dashboard near the hood release handle.  It's silver and cylindrical and you should hear the relay open and close when the blinkers are on.
