paint color

Hi, can anyone tell me what color my 1971 SL is? or where to find it in the Vin? (Picture attached) Its more of a deep blue.

Lift up your hood and on top of the the driver side fender there is a stamped plate. Second line will give you your paint code. See this link for the paint codes in the technical manual.

Would suspect that the car is DB 904. But the metal data plate is the place to check.

It actually had 180G or Silver/Grey Metallic ?

Could have been repainted then.  My car was originally arabian gray and a previous owner painted it signal red.  If you look inside the dash, you can usually find  the original color.

Also look u see your rear deck, pop it off and should have original color there on frame and pans
