Window crank handle and knob

The black plastic knob at the end of one of my window cranks keeps coming off. I have tried to use epoxy to reattach it to the pin, but it doesn't want to hold.

Any tips/suggestions on how to repair this, or is it easier to just replace the crank handle?

I too have struggled with this.  I was able to buy 280 style handles for my 230, but I never found the 230 type.  I don't believe the replacement handles are that expensive.

Handles from a "Heckflosse" or fintail Mercedes from 1959 to 1965 may work.  Also, you might ask "scoot", a member here, who knows them well!

Thanks for the replies, I did see those advertised on ebay but they seemed slightly different to the original so I wasn't sure if they were a match. Specifically, the lower/smaller hole in the main body of the handle looked to be a different shape to the rectangular cutout in the original.

I believe that there are two versions of the later style crank. This crank is designed to work for both with slight modification.

I have nice original cranks available.  There are three styles of cranks available.  The earliest is the one with the small knob.  The middle style is the SAME except has a big knob, the later looks like the middle one but is held in by a clip in the crank insert instead of a small screw.   Pics attached.

Do you have a Mercedes part number for version 3 in your photo?
I don't mean the replacement 123 part, I mean that actual part.
I'm having a tidy up and found one of these but need to know the part number so I can put it on my system.

As an FYI the part number(s) might not be entirely accurate. I have ran into this before on other parts, where later or substitutes were made and a part number changed...

Which is precisely why I'm looking for the part number for THAT part, not the replacement.
I've narrowed it down to either 1087600102 or 1087600202

Stick, the PN  A1087600202 does not exist any more (not recognized). I think it was quickly replaced with A 123 760 01 02. The Service Brochure (attached) states the A 108 760 02 02 number as the new shaft version, but then the number disappears form the systems and the A 123 760 01 02 stays.

Looks like the PN A 108 760 02 02 was wiped out form digital history and may exist in paper versions of parts lists only. I have no idea if this wipe out was intentional or not, but while doing that, Daimler messed up a bit descriptions of parts versions and one stage there is missing for new shaft/old (Pagoda) knob style, creating the PN A 123 760 01 02 having two knob styles.

I tried to put together what I think in the pdf. The part A 123 760 0102 started as part A 108 760 02 02 with Pagoda style knob and carried the Pagoda style knob to R107 becoming A 123 760 01 02 somewhere on the way.

So for later shaft type, PN is A 123 760 01 02 now, used to be A 108 760 02 02.

I spoke to my dealer and asked him to check all preceeding part numbers which is only possible on main dealer EPC, not the licenced version.
This is how I arrived at the part number 108 760 02 02 which is "Version 3" of the crank handle.
As I keep a large inventory of used parts it's important for me to be able to enter them on my stock system by accurate part number. This is so when I'm looking for a particular handle I know which one I'm looking for and where to find it.
