Spring cleaning
« on: April 03, 2021, 16:37:56 »
Almost a year ago today, I had a little mishap with my tractor (https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=30728.0), as a result of which he ended up one-eyed. He could blink, but to make sure he didn’t make more sparks, I disconnected part of the electrical wire loom. Today, I spent the morning rewiring him, in anticipation of installing a new set of headlights which I ordered and should be delivered tomorrow. That, and a general check-up, tightening up, and lube tour. So old Grumpy was as close to purring as he can, like a big kitten, or rather like the old donkey that he is.

Having taken care of him, I then took the cover off Sleeping Beauty, and, having gone through the awakening tour (check fluid levels, possible leaks, wire loom), I let her warm up a few minutes, and took her waltzing through local roads. She was purring like a real kitten, and made me very proud and happy. Wish I were Prince Charming too, but if that was the case, somebody would have told me by now 😉
