Best radiator fluid for a 230 SL
« on: May 22, 2020, 18:04:34 »
I just drained my cooling system and would like to replace the radiator fluid with what works best for our older engines and the aluminum parts related to the cooling system. I see that there is a blue G48 out there that seems to be recommended for MB vehicles. Not sure if its mainly for newer engines or not. Over the years I have used mainly the old style Preston (lime green). Is there a favorite out there for our older, aluminum parts based cooling system?

Thanks,

Mark

MB sells its own formula referenced MB 325.0 that is the recommended coolant for our engines.

By the way, it says so on the container, but the formula must be mixed with an equal amount of pure (distilled) water (1 for 1)
