230SL Chain Tensioner Part Number
« on: May 05, 2020, 21:27:22 »
Does anyone have a good part number for the chain tensioner pad for a 230SL? The part numbers I have don't match anything. Thank you.

PN for 113042, M127.981 is A 180 050 07 16. NLA at MB the system says, but if you ask Classic Center, maybe it is possible to order. It was ca $200.

I am sure other Members will have options where to source it. I was just able to find LEMFÖRDER 17904 01.

Maybe it'll be cheaper if I replace the timing chain. The plate still has surface left, it's just the two ridges that are worn off.

The guide rail and the chain should never touch :-\

Yes, most likely a good idea to change your timing chain
