Very early 230SL in Bend, Oregon
« on: February 14, 2020, 05:13:33 »
Hi,

I just read that someone in Bend, OR has a very early (under #25) 230SL.
Does anyone have any info on this car or its owner?

Thanks.

Hi Cole,

We do have a Car Registry, however, I don’t know if only full members have access to it. I made a copy for you of the 230 SL cars. If you would be a full member you could perhaps open the data base “Members” and then “search” the “Member List” by “Location”

Full Members have access to our “Complete Technical Manual” were one finds topics and recommendations to questions pertaining to almost every aspect of issues and discussions of our cars components, may it mechanical, electrical etc. Etc.

Hope this helps,

Dieter

Hi Cole,
Very interesting....!
Not that I am aware of.
A couple of years back our member "Cascadia" (Bob) from Portland, OR found and owned briefly 230 SL no. 000015. He bought the barn find, cleaned it up and sold it to someone in Europe.
The car changed hands a very few times
and was eventually thoroughly restored and sold again.
Shown on the Annual Car Show in Padua November last year - in perfect condition now Our member Ralph Neely gratefully re"discovered" that car. ;)

That's all I am aware of.
But another...? What are the hints for that one , where did you hear/see that?
