Very good overview. I don't think he missed any important resting points.

This is a very educational video.  Even if your car doesn’t have a rust issue being able to identify where water and dirt can collect will help you with mundane tasks like washing your car as well as the necessity to maintain areas like rubber around the trunk lid.  This is definitely an eye opener about the vulnerabilities of all Pagodas.

Wow. Seemed more like a horror movie than an educational video...

Reminds me of what someone said about restoring a BMW 2002.  "The only 2 places they rust is everywhere there is a seam and everywhere there is a bend in the metal."

Man, that's going to be a six-figure restoration right there.

Glad SOMEONE's going to save her.

Is that Pete Van Rossum in the video? I went through his shop 25 years ago.

Great video.

Bring a trailer has a segment "where they rust" showing rusty cars and where to look for rust on different models.

I looked over a 190sl that I helped sell, and the owner told me that there was no rust in certain areas as he looked.  He was correct but the reason there was no rust was that the previous bodyman just cut out entire panels so where there used to be two panels there was just one now (no much inner rear fender on one side was remaining)

I have seen something similar for the rockers on a 280Sl where there was one entire inside strengthening panel that was omitted when rust repairs took place and a new piece of metal was bent to shape and placed on top of the rusty metal and welded in place and with seam sealer put in the right location to replicate a seam it looked almost original.

All I can say is be careful if you buy a rusty car - its that tip of the iceberg thing......
