Got mine earlier this week (upon my return from vacation) and it was the first magazine I read... great effort yet again!

Now if only some more people would be prepared to produce an article, on their car, how they got it, what they do to it, and how it is part of their daily lives. With (high-resolution pictures of course). I'm sure Jon B will love you for it!

Indeed he would :) :) :o

Hmmm - Would especially be looking for articles on the brake booster and the power steering pump, if anyone has any knowledge of such.

Hmm - as you know perfectly well Jon, the brake booster article is about half finished. What prevents me from putting more work in is the fact that I don't know whether anyone is interested in reading technical articles. Looking at the recent survey result:
"In respect to Pagoda World, 86% of respondents indicated they read PagodaWorld within a day or two of receiving the latest issue. 45% of respondents indicated they like the mix of technical and social articles. Based on the responses, the Board has decided not to change or alter Pagoda World from its current format."

Thus, the majority of respondents (55%) appear to NOT like the current mix. It would be nice to know what do they like, technical, historical, or social?
It is a LOT of work to write a correct technical article without major mistakes, in an understandable manner, and with high resolution photos for easier text interpretation.
I have yet to read any feedback or comments about technical articles that I wrote over the years, not even corrections when I made mistakes.

Hi Jonny, I joined as a full member on August 14th so it looks like I missed the Pagoda World (no 25) mailing by about a week. Is there a way to get a copy? I would be happy to pay.

Thanks-Greg

Thanks for all the efforts to write and publish Pagoda World. Each issue is read and carefully preserved and filed in my Library. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to Alfred's brake booster article. I think his article on the Bosch horns should get the "Pagoda World Pulitzer"!

I could not have said it better then Joe Alexander or Peter van Es, just to add I too enjoy each PW issue and after I joined in 2013 have purchased several Back Issues that were available.

Jon, will we be adding pages from some of The Members stories from the PAGODA STYLE book as centrefolds in future PW issues as we discussed a few years back? I think it will add to your content for PW at the same time provide a great story for new Members to read.

To all Members, Peter van Es (one of our former Presidents and still Administrator of our Web Site), makes a good point asking for you to send your story about how you found your Pagode/Pagoda. When you think about it it would make a good story to be shared with members here. Or you may like recommend a great route in your state that you like to share with others. Or tell us about the last time you attended a car show in your area. Any other subject you feel may be of interest. Put yourself in Jon’s shoes and others that are part of the PW publishing team, new material is needed for future issues of the PW magazine and if you are reading this, think about what you can share that may be of interest to all. Don’t worry about spelling or grammar we have volunteers to look after this before it is published.

In July Hugh and I attended a mini car show (about 12 cars were in attendance and a local fire truck with the entire crew). here in London, Ontario for the Easter Seal Organisation Hugh made his Model T and Pagoda available and I joined with my Pagoda. We both enjoyed how challenged and handicap children from this long term home enjoyed our Pagodas and Hugh’s Model T. One child had to be lifted with a special lift in and out from Hug’s Pagoda (he had his hardtop removed). The smile on those children was priceless. I will be sending my story and high resolution photographs to Jon, perhaps you may see the story in one of the future PW issues.

Thanks for reading. Cheers,

Dieter

PS. I am attaching a teaser photograph, you have to agree the smile on those children was priceless. Fingerprints were easily removed after the car show :)

Greg, I will sort out a way to get you a copy of this much desired issue #25. Put together by our editor Jon B. A man who has PagodaFest so well organized, he could take time to create such an awesome issue for Sep/19. Amazing!  Hugh of Membership

Johnny B:
To find out about the brake booster in detail , contact Thierry in Laos.
He rebuilt his booster and could not find the rubber bladders.
So I had seen his request and located a rebuilder in southern Cal and he sent me the bladders.
I then sent them to Thierry in Laos and he stated his booster is now perfect.
At this time I do not have in front of me the Cal rebuilder who sent me the bladders.
So contact him and he will tell you what he did.
But somewhere on this site he showed how he disassembled the booster (With Pictures)
and put it together when he received the  bladders.

Joes reply about the Bosch horns. Many years ago Michael Salemi at one of the Pubs showed us the Bosch inserts
he had discovered. I had ordered a set and as of yet (as usual) I have not put them inside the original Bosch horns.
In the basement they sit in the boxes. If Michael does not have the Bosch numbers I can pull out the boxes and forward the
part numbers on them . I believe they are on the boxes.
