Hardtop Chrome

Hi
I am continuing to restore my 230SL. When I was dismantling my hardtop for a bare metal respray I noticed that only one side had a chrome piece in front of the side window. In the diagram in the technical manual I think the chrome is either numbered 24 or 25. I have attached a photo of the chrome piece. I think at some point the chrome had been redrilled to attach to the hardtop. I would have assumed that the original piece had circular holes in the chrome. As one can see from the photos these holes are oval in shape. I was wondering what the part number of this piece would be. Perhaps given the shape of the chrome, the left and right side may have separate part numbers
Thanks

Hi,
That looks like the chrome shims #21. The left side is part no. 113 795 01 33 and 113 795 02 33 for the right side. Frequently only installed on one side only.
Parts catalog lists it with a NB, "Nach Bedarf" as needed.

Hans
I did not know that these chrome shims were frequently only installed on one side of the hardtop
Thank you very much
