oil pump removal ???

Hi , really struggling to release the oil pump
(so i can check bearings and replace the rear main seal )
I have removed  the auxillary shaft
the tach drive will not come out ( fouls the head but its loose )
tried ( gentle ) heat
is there some thing im missing ???

Try rotating slightly back and fourth while pulling upward.

Hi , man it was tight !
first I priced a new one ......
fought its way out till the very end
it all depended on finding the correct drift
old alloy swells !
 I had flash backs to a pre war car I worked on that took days of drilling and slide hammering to get the oil pump out ....in tiny pieces (then we had to make a new one ) the owner sent his grand daughter to pick it up , I tried to explain how much work we had put into the car .... she looked at her phone and giggled a lot
