I did this with mine because I wanted to keep the 'factory-original-matching-numberless' trunk handle with my car .....

Those are easy to come by...;

the W111C and W108 use the identical one ...
Just look for the best one you can find.

For the last (used) ones I paid $ 3.00 each.
