Renovation stage one complete!

FresnoBob:
After 25 years in storage while I lived in Singapore, waking my Pagoda from her hibernation has been quite a challenge.  I'm pleased with the appearance, but still struggling with engine issues.  Many more hours to go before spring arrives!

Pawel66:
Nice!

Bonnyboy:
Oh those seats look nice and comfortable.

They look new and not 25 yrs old.

Most of my problems after 25 yrs was related to bad gas and once that was purged and the flower pot was opened up properly the car started right up and kept running.  I did replace anything that was rubber and couldn't believe how bad the brake hoses were after I cut them in half to inspect - not much room for the brake fluid.

Good luck with the resuscitation, your car looks beautiful.

FresnoBob:
Before I started the car, I boiled the gas tank, replaced the fuel pump and purged all lines.  The car runs great at high rpms, but cold starting and idle are a challenge.  None of the cold starting devices seem to be working and the idle increasing solenoid linked to the transmission is always activated, even if the car is not running, but the ignition is on.  Lots to diagnose!

FresnoBob:
I replaced many of the seat springs and then covered them in leather from Autoberry, along with the door panels.  They also supplied the carpet kit.  Wish I had chosen the darker gray though, the light gray is going to be very difficult to maintain.  Went  back to the 1970 era mono radio and had the clock refurbished.  Powder coated the rims and front grill and miscellaneous engine parts.  Refinished the dash wood and re-dyed all the leather from Classicdyeproducts.com

Glad I'm retired and have a wife who tolerates me puttering in the garage.
