In process of stripping the dash out. Noticed that the dash looks to be welded to the body. Is this normal?
1970 280SL/8 W113 101624 miles.

Yes, it is part of the body shell. It is not removable.

That is the reason why these cars cant be converted from LHD to RHD. Of course, not impossible but a very expensive excercise. I swopped my MGB in a day, the most difficult part was to bleed the brakes afterwards, only because I needed an assistant.
