Familiar

This looks familiar as I vaguely remember a conversation about a car being sold with a chopped gear-stick

For sale now in Edinburgh, and it's Signal Red, apparently

There were two types of gear shift on the automatics as far as i could find out when I thought I had a short gear shift and went to Mercedes Centre CA seeking a new gear lever, was told there was only the longer ones now available but the earlier 230sl had a shorter lever. NLA
