A friend of mine sent me this link the other day.  I just have to share it with you.  As fascinating as it is for its historical automotive content, nothing exceeds the boyish delight on the driver’s faces as they pilot this monstrosity around the roads for the first time in over a hundred years.  Wow!

LEGENDARY 28-LITRE FIAT S76 DRIVES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 100 YEARS

There's nothing like a chain (belt) drive car with what sounds like an
aircraft engine!

This MASSIVE old race car has a 1700+ cubic inch engine with only FOUR
cylinders!! That's over 425 cubic inches per cylinder!! Good GRIEF, and I
thought the Allison V-12 with the 1400+ cubic inch airplane engine was big!!

What a sound this huge beast makes as it fires directly out the side of
the block (no exhaust system whatsoever!) and there's several videos and
links to watch as this old "Beast of Turin" is brought back to life after
100+ years!

Full screen and turn the sound up! Enjoy, I think it equals the feeling I had taking
my 280 SL for a spin before I purchased her. Not to be confused with the sound
of this old beast ~grin~ I only mean the feeling and smile on my face during the first spin.
