Flat leaf spring clips

Under the hood cowling, there are clips that secure the cables. I seem to be challenged here. Is there special tool? I just bend the tab in my attempt to install. Maybe a small C-clamp? Help!

I dont there is any special tool. Can you post a picture to show exactly what clamps you are refering to?

Jonny to the rescue...Thanks! It was the clip that secures the heater core valve cable under the hood cowling. I finally ground the tip off of a 1 1/2" screw and placed it under the tab with 45 degree tweezers. With one tap of the hammer onto a screw driver, the leaf clip was on....done. Only 2 days to figure that out. Welcome to SL world. Enjoy the ride. See ya at the dinner.
