Stainless Steel KIT??
« on: February 17, 2010, 04:18:15 »
Is there any kits you can buy for the 230SL's to get new stainless steel everything or an assortment. American cars usually all have these such as eBay example:

I am not fond of eBay stainless steel but its just an example.

Anyone know a company that sells a kit.  I would buy something like my example but as we know with Mercedes they have more then hex head screws they have counter sunk philips and flat head screws as well as the old faithful sheet metal screws.

I don't think there is a kit. There is a guy in Geemany on E-bay that can sell a kit for all the chrome screws, but I don't think you can get everything else needed for our cars in a stainless collection.

Sounds good but i am sure the shipping isen't worth it for a few chrome screws, seems like a very good place to get other items in chrome though appreciate the link, I will try and find an assortment or use a kit for a muscle car.

Ask Dave Gallon, he'll put together an assortment of correct DIN screws that you need for your car.
Check the suppliers list for address, etc: http://www.sl113.org/wiki/Suppliers/Start
