Is this an early version of a French tail lamp?

I believe so, they French had the amber back up light.

Hi, Hauser,

Yes, my French '66 (originally sold in Paris) had those taillights on it when I bought it. (They are now stored safely away, and I have installed a new set with clear reverse lenses for regular use instead.)
